She began her career managing client portfolios at Smith Barney, Harris, Upham, New York.
After a four-year stint as Head of Business Department at Institut auf-dem Rosenberg St. Gallen, Switzerland, she was vice president of Sovereign Advisors (investment counsel), Charlotte, NC, advising high-net-worth clients on their investments.
Subsequently, Ms. Nolan was an officer with Schwab Institutional, a unit of Charles Schwab & Co., Atlanta, prior to joining Astrop in early 1995.
At Schwab Institutional, she was responsible for the total coverage of numerous large financial institutions in the seven southeastern states.
Ms. Nolan has formally addressed banking, financial-planning and investment-management groups throughout the country on a wide variety of financial subjects, including marketing, operations and compliance.
Ms. Nolan, a New York native, and her husband have a young daughter.
