Mr. Shea is the Executive Vice President and Director of J.F.
Shea Co., Inc. J.F.
Shea Co. was established in 1876 and is one of the largest privately held civil engineering, construction and real estate developers in the United States.
For over 100 years, J.F.
Shea's history has been highlighted by landmark achievements such as the construction of the famed Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California, and as the managing partner of the Hoover Dam on the Colorado River at the Arizona and California state borders.
Besides his involvement in the construction industry, Mr. Shea has also acted as one of the earliest and most successful venture capitalists in the Silicon Valley participating in such ventures as: Compaq Computer, Altera Corporation, Linear Technology Corporation, America West Airlines, Hambrecht & Quist Group, Excelan (which became Novell), AES Corporation, Genentech Inc., and Brocade Communications.
Mr. Shea currently sits on the Board of Directors of the following publicly traded companies: Adac Laboratories and The Ironstone Group.
He is a graduate of MIT's School of Engineering.
