Previously he was on the Board of Advisors and Finance Committee of the West Point Association of Graduates, Treasurer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern North Carolina, President of the Cumberland Interfaith Hospitality Network, Treasurer of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh.
He served as the Chairman of the New Bern Heart Ball, was the US 3rd Congressional District volunteer West Point Admissions Representative, and served on US Congressman Greg Murphy’s Service Academy Nomination Board.
He received a Bachelor of Science in 1989 from The United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was a Distinguished Honor Graduate and member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
He is a member of the CFA Institute and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
