Mr. David Carruthers is Head of Credit & Core at AMP Capital Investors Ltd. Mr. Carruthers was appointed Head of Credit & Core in 2014.
He leads the Global Fixed Income team’s credit and core bond fund capabilities and is responsible for macro credit strategy.
He was previously Senior Portfolio Manager within Credit Markets from 2003 and led the Credit Portfolio Management stream as well as macro credit strategy.
He is a senior member of the group that determines Global Fixed Income sector positioning and risk management strategy and is a Credit Investment Committee member.
Prior to his Senior Portfolio Management role, Mr. Carruthers joined the Global Fixed Income team as a Money Market Dealer in 2000.
Before joining AMP Capital, he held the position of Investment Analyst with GIO Asset Management where he managed the GIO Deposit Pool Trust and GIO Australia Money Market Funds.
He was also responsible for bill market analysis, arbitrage, trading and contributing to the overall money market strategy.
Mr. Carruthers holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Macquarie University.
