Dr. Daniel Osberghaus is a Senior Researcher at Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung GmbH.
Since 2009, he has been working in ZEW’s Research Unit “Environmental and Climate Economics”.
He focuses on the economics of climate adaptation – including flood prevention and natural hazard insurance.
Furthermore, he investigates the effects of extreme weather and natural disasters on economic behaviour and preferences.
His empirical analyses are mainly based on large-scale panel surveys among households in Germany.
He studied economics at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.
