In addition to serving as a Director for Innovation Philadelphia, Dr. Papadakis is President of Drexel University.
He has been a Director of Aqua America, Inc. since May 1999 and President of Drexel University since 1995.
From 1986 to 1995, he was Dean of the College of Engineering, Geier Professor of Engineering Education and Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Papadakis is a Director of Sovereign Bank, Met-Pro Corporation, The Philadelphia Stock Exchange, Corcell, Inc., the Judicial Council of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Opera Company of Philadelphia, the National Commission for Cooperative Education, the University City Science Center, the Ben Franklin Technology Center and the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia.
A member of numerous professional societies, Dr. Papadakis is a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American Society for Engineering Education and the College of Physicians of Philadelphia.
He is author or co-author of 75 articles and technical publications.
