Profil

Chumani is the co-Head of Old Mutual Private Equity (OMPE), overseeing the investment process, strategic direction and operational running of the business.
Since joining Old Mutual Alternative Investments (OMAI) in 2007, he has been involved in the full suite of private equity functions, from deal origination to implementation, investment management, and exit.
Chumani joined Old Mutual Private Equity as an Analyst, coming out of the Old Mutual TOPP Programme.
He has 16 years of experience in private equity investments.
He is also the founding Chairman of Fun Learning for Youth, a non-profit organisation providing academic support to high school learners from disadvantaged communities to enable them to gain entry into university.
Chumani has degrees in business science and accounting and is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
He serves on the boards of Actom, Morecorp, Medhold, Footgear, Chill Beverages Holdings and Holdsport.
