Mr. Brett D.
Sovine is a Managing Director at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. He oversees all of BBH's domestic trust, fiduciary and tax activities in the Carolinas.
Prior to joining BBH in 2002, Mr. Sovine was an estate planning attorney in private legal practice in Charlotte with Poyner & Spruill, LLP.
Prior to that, he practiced law for one year as a tax associate with Spilman, Thomas & Battle in Charleston, West Virginia.
He was also a Senior Vice President with the Bank of America Private Bank, specializing in executive compensation, and was a Tax Associate with Coopers & Lybrand, LLP in Charlotte.
Mr. Sovine received his BS in Business from West Virginia University, his JD from Wake Forest University School of Law and a Master's of Tax Laws degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
