He began his career in Mergers & Acquisitions at Goldman Sachs, and assumed increasingly senior roles at JP Morgan, UBS Securities, and Citigroup, prior to founding Stone Laughren LLC, a merchant bank.
Mr. Laughren has advised clients on mergers, acquisitions and related financings in a wide variety of industries including technology, advertising, marketing services, media, telecom, automotive, pharmaceutical companies, biotech and healthcare, chemicals, industrial equipment, aerospace, consumer products and steel.
He has advised on over $50 billion in M&A transactions and over $10 billion in financings.
Mr. Laughren focuses on transactions in Media and Marketing Services.
Mr. Laughren is a director of Sound Lounge and of several not-for-profit organizations.
Mr. Laughren earned an M.B.A. in Finance and Management of Organizations from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and earned an A.B. in Philosophy at Columbia University.
