From March 1996 to September 2002, he was a principal and, subsequently, a general partner of West Highland Capital, Inc. His responsibilities included idea generation and assistance to the firm in research coverage of the portfolio.
Prior to this, he served as Senior Vice President of Southcoast Capital Corporation where he developed a technology research franchise and was named a Wall Street Journal All-Star Analyst for 1995 and 1996.
He also served as a Senior Financial Analyst for Motorola from 1989 to 1992.
His responsibilities included annual budgeting, strategic planning, and monthly profit and loss reporting and analysis.
Prior to his work at Motorola, he was a lead semiconductor design engineer for bipolar and CMOS gate arrays at IBM Corporation from 1982 to 1989.
His sole focus has been on the success of Astral Partners, LP since its inception in January 2004.
Mr. Tristani received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas, a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and an MBA in Finance from New York University.
