Mr. Angelo S.
Abdela is a Director at New York Angels, Inc. He worked for 30 years with Bestfoods, previously known as CPC International, the $ 10 billion manufacturer of food products His last position was Vice President Strategic & Capital Investments.
Among his achievements one should note his leadership in purchasing the Entenmann's baking business and the spin-off (IPO) of Corn Products.
Prior to that he was the VP Treasurer of the company.
During the early seventies, he successfully established and run food companies in Kenya and Turkey.
Earlier he worked in Belgium, South Africa and Israel.
From 1998 to 1999 he was a Managing Director at Salomon Smith Barney/Citigroup, where he concentrated on the Consumer products area in the Merger & Acquisition department with emphasis on Asia, Latin America and Europe.
He is active as a financial advisor to companies seeking to accelerate their development in the U.S.
and abroad.
He is as well an investor in several emerging enterprises utilizing advanced technologies to solve concrete life and business needs.
Mr. Abdela has a B.Soc.Science in Economics and an MBA from INSEAD, France.
He lectured extensively on financial and business subjects in business and academic forums in the US and abroad.
