Profil
Mr. El Malawany is the CEO of EFG Hermes and the Chairman of Ideavelopers.
After a 15 years banking career with Chase (later CIB), Mr. El Malawany moved to become the CEO of Egypt’s largest merchant bank (CIIC).
He established and became the CEO of a regional joint-venture with Fleming and subsequently co-led the consolidation of the investment banking industry in Egypt at the beginning of 2001 creating EFG Hermes as it stands today.
Mr. El Malawany has extensive private equity, capital markets and M&A experience and has been involved with some of the most high-profile investments and transactions in the region.
