Mr. Yang Sheng Liu is Founder & Chairman at Hao Capital Co. Ltd. Born in Taiwan, Mr. Liu graduated from Princeton University in 1972 with a B. A. in economics and attended the Juris Doctor program of New York University School of Law from 1972 to 1975.
In 1975, he relinquished his Taiwan passport and U.
S.
Permanent Residency to adopt the nationality and passport of the People's Republic of China.
Mr. Liu co-founded and is the Chairman of HAO Capital.
From 1975 to 1990, Mr. Liu served in various capacities in the United Nations system of organizations, mostly as negotiation secretary or Executive Secretary of various international economic conferences and negotiations.
He also executed development projects for and on behalf of a number of international organizations and agencies.
He worked with the World Bank, UNDP, UNCTAD, various regional economic commissions and national aid agencies.
Between 1993 and 1999, Mr. Liu was Managing Director for China of Lazard Asia Limited, where he worked closely with the Boards of Directors and CEO level executives of major multinational companies on strategic planning and project development, particularly in the telecommunications, information technology, finance, automobile and infrastructure sectors in China.
During this period, he served as advisor to Teledesic, Fiat SpA. , Piaggio, Southwestern Bell, Vivendi, the Accor Group, Lafarge and other Fortune International 500 companies.
Since 1999, Mr. Liu has been Senior Advisor to GE Capital, IBM, CITIC and many other major Chinese and international corporations on strategies in China as well as having led negotiations and discussions on the establishment of joint ventures.
He has participated in projects involving China Mobile, Standard Chartered Bank, ICBC, Huarong Asset Management Co., Minsheng Bank and others.
