Mr. Xavier Lorphelin has extensive experience in the development and investment in technology-driven companies.
He worked for five years in Silicon Valley, successively for Flextronics (NASDAQ: FLEX), the global leader in electronic manufacturing outsourcing, and JSource, which he co-founded in 1997.
JSource developped embedded software solutions based on Java technology, dedicated to smart cards and payment systems.
Mr. Lorphelin joined SGAM in 2002 after the acquisition of the incubator Kangaroo Village which he co-founded in 2000.
He managed portfolio companies such as Altitude Telecom (acquired by Iliad), Augure, DiBcom, DxO, Open-Plug, Parrot (Eurolist: PARRO), Quescom and Sequans.
Mr. Lorphelin teaches at ESCP in the Masters' program in Entrepreneurship.
He sits on the selection committees of Tremplin Entreprises and X-Creation, the seed fund of the X-Ecole Polytechnique.
He is also a board member of the non-profit organization « Un Enfant Par La Main », which sponsors underprivileged children.
Mr. Lorphelin is a graduate from X-Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and Stanford University.
