Mr. Gibson joined NYLIM in 2005, and, as CFO and Senior Managing Director of Finance, Technology & Operations, is responsible for all financial aspects of the business as well as the technology, operations and infrastructure needs of NYLIM.
Prior to joining NYLIM, Mr. Gibson was Global Chief Operating Officer for ING Investment Management (INGIM) based in The Hague, The Netherlands.
At INGIM, he was responsible for Operations, IT, Finance, Compliance, and Risk Management activities across 26 countries.
In addition to this role, Mr. Gibson was also General Manager of Operations and Information Technology at ING, where he helped create a joint venture providing fund administration and custody services in Europe.
Mr. Gibson has also held senior executive positions at a number of top tier financial services firms including Merrill Lynch, Barclays Capital, Security Pacific, and American Express.
Mr. Gibson received an M.B.A. in Finance, and an M.P.A. in Marketing, from Cornell University in 1976.
He earned a B.A. in Political Philosophy from Michigan State University in 1973.
