Mr. Tom Fritsch is Partner & General Counsel at Plainfield Asset Management LLC.
Prior to joining Plainfield, Mr. Fritsch was from 2002 to 2005 the General Counsel of Smith Management LLC, a private investment company focused on securities, real estate, private equity and distressed situations.
Mr. Fritsch was responsible for all of Smith Management's legal affairs and led the divestiture of several portfolio companies.
From 1997 to 2002, Mr. Fritsch was an associate in the corporate department of Cravath, Swaine & Moore.
At Cravath, Mr. Fritsch handled public and private M&A transactions, real estate transactions, securities offerings and structured finance transactions.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Fritsch worked as a Certified Public Accountant on the audit staff of Coopers & Lybrand.
Mr. Fritsch is a member of the bar in New York.
Mr. Fritsch received a B.A. in economics from Columbia College in 1991, an M.S.
in accounting in 1993 from New York University, and a J.D.
in 1997 from Columbia Law School.
