Mr. Thomas P.
Schuette is a Co-Head of Investment Research & Strategy at Gurtin Fixed Income Management LLC.
He serves as a member of the Investment Committee and is a senior credit analyst.
He is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the Investment Research & Strategy department, including leading the publishing efforts and setting the firm’s credit quality thresholds.
Prior to joining theb firm, Mr. Schuette spent nearly five years at Moody's Investors Service, where he covered general obligation, appropriation, and essential service revenue bonds across a variety of states for the U.S.
Regional Public Finance group.
During his time with Moody's, he was a member of Rating Committee and wrote or contributed to several national publications and rating methodologies.
Previous to his time at Moody's, he worked in a number of roles in the public sector, including serving as a senior budget analyst for Multnomah County, Oregon and as a policy analyst for the St. Louis, Missouri regional council of governments.
He received his Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin and his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Truman State University.
