Ms. Benanav began her career at Chase Securities, Inc. as an analyst in the Emerging Markets Investment Banking Group.
During her time there, she worked primarily on Mergers & Acquisitions transactions, including the privatization of seven electric utilities in Argentina.
After leaving Chase, she was the International Fixed Income Portfolio Manager for AFP Santa Maria, one of the largest private pension companies in Santiago, Chile.
There, she was responsible for initiating the international investment program of the company and developing the international investment strategy for Santa Maria.
Prior to joining Saugatuck, Ms. Benanav worked at Global Opportunity Advisors, a private equity firm focused on investing in Japan.
Ms. Benanav serves as a member of the Board of Directors of The Tharpe Company.
Ms. Benanav received a B.A. degree from Bucknell University in Economics and Spanish.
She received an M.B.A. in Finance and an M.A. in International Studies from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.
