Mr. Stuart G.
Theakston is Head of Research at GLC Ltd. (UK).
He is responsible for managing all research & development for the quantitative models and trading systems.
He started with GLC in 2008 heading the high frequency trading desk.
He also brings a unique combination of skills in quantitative finance, trading and computer science to the firm.
Prior to GLC, Mr. Theakston founded a quantitative proprietary trading business deploying equity long/short strategies.
He also worked at Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank, with responsibility for delivering quantitative trading tools and high performance execution products to hedge fund clients and internal trading desks.
During 2000-2002 he co-founded and was the CTO for Armada Partners, a Deutsche Bank sponsored internet business incubator.
He started his career in front office technology at Goldman Sachs in 1994.
Mr. Theakston holds a Masters degree in Finance from the London Business School and an honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge.
