Prior to founding Verax Capital Partners in 2006, Mr. Hardek developed substantial experience with middle market companies as a partner in an alternative investment fund as well as during his tenure in investment banking and corporate finance.
From 2001-2006, he was a partner at the alternative investment fund of W.R.
Huff Asset Management Co., L.L.C., which is a multi-billion dollar investment advisor.
In his role, he was responsible for deal generation, closing transactions, and portfolio monitoring.
From 1997-2001, he was a vice president at Duff & Phelps Securities LLC which was a middle-market investment bank focused on mergers & acquisitions and private placements.
From 1995-1997, Mr. Hardek was a financial analyst for Chemical/ Chase Securities Inc.'s Global Investment Banking Division where he structured and syndicated senior debt and high yield securities for private equity firms regarding their middle market leveraged buyouts.
From 1993-1995, he was with Bank of America in their income collections group focusing on client management and foreign exchange.
He served on the Board of Directors of The Wisconsin Cheese Group, Inc. and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Prime Energy Services.
He also serves on the Board of Directors and is a founding member of the New Jersey Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, a global organization focused on networking among middle-market professionals.
In 1999, Mr. Hardek founded the 1899 Foundation which is a 501 c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping underprivileged students pursue higher education.
Since its inception, the 1899 Foundation raised in excess of $200,000 and awarded scholarships to 110 students in the New Jersey and New York area.
Mr. Hardek received his BS degree Minor from the Rutgers University School of Business and his MBA from Columbia Business School.
