Mr. Nye began his investment career as an account executive with Dean Witter Reynolds in 1983.
He joined Smith Barney as a financial consultant in 1988, and was promoted to branch manager of the Salt Lake City office in 1992.
In 1996, he became a Portfolio Manager within the Portfolio Management Group at Smith Barney.
He remained a Portfolio Manager at Smith Barney and held the title of Senior Vice President - Financial Consultant until leaving in 1999 to found Eagle Gate Securities.
A native of Ogden, Utah, Mr. Nye graduated with honors from the University of Utah in 1983 with B.A. degree in Finance.
Aside from the office, Mr. Nye offers support to various charities including churches, academia, and environmental organizations.
