Mr. Tschampion began his career at General Motors Corporation (GM) in 1968.Outside of GM, he is a Trustee of the Select Sector SPDR Trust, a Director of both the Managed Funds Association and the India Magnum Fund, a Trustee of Lehigh University and Chair of the Investment Sub-committee for its endowment fund, a member of the Editorial Board for the CFA Digest, and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
In addition, Mr. Tschampion has chaired the Board of Governors of the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR) and has been actively involved in setting AIMR standards in the areas of performance presentation, soft dollars and personal investing.
In 2003, he was awarded the Daniel J.
Forrestal III Award by AIMR for his leadership contributions in pursuing excellence in ethics and standards of practice in the investment profession.
Prior to joining the pension investment group in 1977, Mr. Tschampion was a member of GM's New York Treasury Staff, performing various functions including management of GM's corporate cash portfolio.
Mr. Tschampion received a BS in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Lehigh University, and has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
