Peter was chief executive of Hardy until January 2002, when he became non-executive chairman.
He is a director of Hardy (Underwriting Agencies) Limited and also of the other Group subsidiaries.
Peter has worked in the Lloyd's market since 1959 and was appointed in 1969 as the underwriter of syndicate 30 under the management of C.T.
Bowring (Underwriting Agencies) Ltd. He became the underwriter for syndicate 382 in 1975 and was a founding director of the managing agent in 1978.
He ceased as active underwriter of syndicate 382 at the end of 1998.
