Mr. Paul B. Syms, CFA, is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Hermes Investment Management Ltd.
He joined Hermes in February 2006 as a member of the Global Government & Inflation Bonds team, specialising in conventional government bonds.
His main role is to manage the gilt funds, and he acts as the alternate portfolio manager for the inflation-linked mandates.
Mr. Syms is also the specialist lead dealer for the team.
Prior to joining Hermes, he worked for six years at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership in a similar role.
Mr. Syms graduated in 1995 with a BSc in Genetics from the University of Nottingham.
He was awarded the CFA charter in 2004 and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of the UK.
