Paul Bekx has over 11 years of private equity, senior and mezzanine investment experience, having worked in Germany, the U.S., the U.K.
and France.
Prior to 1988, Mr. Bekx was a technical textiles consultant in Germany.
In 1988, he joined the LBO Finance unit of Generale de Banque New York (now Fortis).
In 1995, he became a partner & investment director with HSBC Private Equity with a focus on Germany, Benelux and France and headed their Paris office as of 1998.
Having known Messrs.
Molenaar and Wyss from earlier transactions, Mr. Bekx moved to Gilde in early 2000 to contribute to its growth, focusing on France and Belgium.
Mr. Bekx estrablished Gilde's Paris Office in January, 2001.
Mr. Bekx is a commercial engineer and holds an MBA in international finance from Leuven University in Belgium.
