Prior to founding Envoy Management, Mr. Marks was a co-founder of Praesidian Capital, where between 2002 and 2012 he played a key role in transaction origination, structuring and execution, as well as portfolio management and firm management.?
With over 40 years of investment experience, Mr. Marks has been directly responsible for over 70 transactions providing private debt to middle market companies.
Prior to co-founding Praesidian, he served as Executive Vice President and Manager of the Commercial Finance Division at HSBC Business Credit USA, Inc. and managed the Northeast Region of CIT Credit Finance.
Previously, Mr. Marks spent nine years as a senior executive in Heller Financial’s Corporate Finance Group, managing the unit’s New York office.
He is a former member of the Board of Governors of the Small Business Investor Alliance (formerly NASBIC) and has been a panel speaker at numerous small middle market events.
He received his MBA and BS in Finance from Long Island University.
