He is a Member of the Community Advisory Board of the Junior League and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Mr. Devaul is a Director of Charlotte Chamber University City Chapter, the new Mallard Creek High School, University City Partners, and the University City Community Building Project.
He began his career with the McGaw YMCA. Mr. Devaul received a degree from Columbia College.
