Mr. Mark W.
Broughton, CFA MBA, is Co-Head of US Equity Portfolio Management at Rainier Investment Management LLC.
He is also a Senior Portfolio Manager and Equity Research Analyst of the firm.
Prior to joining Rainier Investment in 2002, Mr. Broughton was lead portfolio manager of Blackrock Financial Management’s core equity product in Philadelphia.
He began his investment career in 1986, working in corporate finance at Drexel, Burnham & Lambert in Boston and Los Angeles.
In 1991, he joined Provident Investment Counsel in Pasadena, where he served as an equity analyst and associate portfolio manager.
Beginning in 1996, he was principal, senior portfolio manager and director of research at Badgley, Phelps and Bell in Seattle.
Mr. Broughton was previously employed as Associate Portfolio Manager by 300 North Capital LLC.
He has over 30 years of investment experience.
Mr. Broughton holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and International Finance and Economics from the University of Southern California.
He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Seattle Society of Financial Analysts.
