Mr. Brooks joined Hudson Ventures in October 2005 after co-investing with the Firm for the past two years.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of inQ.
Mr. Brooks was previously a Partner with Dolphin Equity Partners, a New York City-based venture capital fund, where he focused on the consumer and enterprise wireless markets and internet and online marketing.
As a principal investor, Mr. Brooks sourced and sat on boards of inQ, a Hudson II portfolio company, and Enpocket, a Boston-based wireless media company, and was actively involved with NetMotion Wireless, a Seattle-based wireless security firm.
As an associate, he worked closely with Dolphin's portfolio companies, was the firm's CFO, and co-led fundraising of the firm's $160 million second fund.
Mr. Brooks is well networked in the Northeast venture capital community and a frequent speaker on industry and investor panels.
Previously, he held a senior manager position with Arthur Andersen where he consulted on competitive strategies, business process improvement, turnarounds and restructurings mostly in the communications sector and was an Analyst with Citibank.
Mr. Brooks holds a B.S.
degree from Penn State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago with Honors and has passed the CPA exam.
He is a Co-founder and Director of the Timothy J.
Finnerty Memorial Fund, a non-profit organization chartered to provide funding to support higher education and athletics and is Co-founder of the New York Private Equity Golf Classic benefiting The Valerie Fund's Children Centers.
