Capital Investment Counsel (CIC) manages client-focused equity, fixed-income and balanced portfolios. CIC employs a diversified strategy, investing in large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap stocks and international equities. They use asset allocation strategies to diversify assets in stocks, bonds, commodities and real estate using ETFs and mutual funds. The firm's equity strategies include: Core, Dividend, Asset Allocation and Tactical. CIC's Core strategy is broadly diversified and has exposure to large-, mid- and small-cap stocks, as well as international market exposure. Their Dividend strategy seeks to build diversified portfolio of income generating stocks. Their Asset Allocation strategy dedicates a portion of the assets to stocks, bonds, commodities and real estate using ETFs and mutual funds. CIC's Tactical Strategy seeks to capitalize on the intermediate-term trends in the stock market by identifying when buying exhaustion occurs on the upside and selling has run its course on the downside. CIC offers mutual fund asset allocation services in which they invest client assets in equity mutual funds including: small-cap funds, mid-cap funds, large-cap value funds, large-cap growth funds and international funds. CIC's fixed income strategies include Taxable Bonds, Municipal Bonds and Short-Term Cash Management. These strategies seek to provide higher returns through active management of principal and income. The fixed income instruments CIC purchases are typically of intermediate-term duration and may be laddered for different maturity dates. They may also invest clients' funds in a money market fund.
