Dr. Manuel Tong Koecklin is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Economic & Social Research Institute (ESRI).
He joined the ESRI team in October 2017 in Internationalisation and Competitiveness.
His research addresses the export decisions firms make in a particular market, using large micro-datasets at the firm-product level.
His recent research involves an empirical analysis on how financial constraints affect firms’ decisions to engage into the export activity.
Dr. Tong Koecklin is a Trade Economist, in process of finishing his PhD in Economics at University of Sussex.
He was awarded the MSc degree in International Economics at the same university, and the Bachelor degree in Economics at Universidad del Pacifico (Lima, Peru).
