As the Vice President of Government Relations, Kurt oversees all regulatory and legislative activities of FPIC in all states.
Kurt started with FPIC in June of 1988 as Vice President of Research and Development.
Kurt has also held positions of Vice President of Marketing, Risk Management, and Human Resources.
Many of these positions were held concurrently with his responsibility as Vice President of Government Relations.
Prior to working at FPIC, Kurt was the President of The Professionals Insurance Company, which primarily wrote medical professional liability insurance for allied health professionals in five mid-western states.
Kurt entered the insurance business in 1972 working for the Ohio Department of Insurance as the Casualty Rate Supervisor.
Following that Kurt was Vice President of Underwriting with Physicians Insurance Company of Ohio.
In 1982, Kurt accepted the position of Executive Vice President of Physicians Insurance Company of Indiana where he established this new company and served as its chief executive officer during its first four years of operation before moving to The Professionals Insurance Company.
