MBA, Cornell University Kamal Toor is the Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Kinterra Capital.
Mr. Toor helps to oversee all aspects of Kinterra Capital’s investment business, including strategic ideation, transaction structuring and execution, value creation and investment monetization.
Mr. Toor also helps to shape the strategic direction of the firm and is responsible for general management oversight.
Mr. Toor serves on the Investment Committee and Valuation Committee of the Investment Adviser.
Prior to Kinterra Capital, Mr. Toor was a founding partner of Waterton Global, a mining-focused private equity fund with ~$2B in AUM.
He served on Waterton’s Investment Committee, Valuation Committee, and as the firm's General Counsel.
Mr. Toor was a “key person” of Waterton.
Mr. Toor led or co-led the execution of all of Waterton's transactions.
Mr. Toor has deep transactional experience across a variety of complex transaction structures, including M&A, bankruptcies, hostile bids and proxy battles.
In addition to his transactional work, Mr. Toor also established and built-out Waterton’s permitting and ESG team and oversaw all related value creation initiatives.
Today, the permitting and ESG team spans multiple offices and has driven substantial value creation at the firm.
Prior to founding Waterton, Mr. Toor practiced corporate law at Allen & Overy LLP, a global “magic circle” firm.
In addition to holding an undergraduate business degree and multiple law degrees, Mr. Toor has completed an MBA at Cornell University.
