As the Managing Partner of Arctaris Impact Investors, Jonathan invests in growth-oriented businesses in the manufacturing, technology, and services industries with heavy emphasis on job creation and economic revitalization in federally designated Opportunity Zones.
Jonathan co-founded Arctaris in 2009 and manages six impact investment funds, including the Arctaris Impact Fund, LP (launched in 2018) and the Arctaris Opportunity Zone Fund, LP (launched in 2019), which collectively seek to invest more than $1 billion into these communities.
Jonathan was previously a Managing Director, Operating Partner and member of the Investment Committee at Dutchess Capital, specializing in direct loans and private equity investments to lower-middle market companies and working with management teams to develop growth or turnaround strategies.
Prior thereto, Jonathan was with Fidelity Ventures, IBM's Mergers & Acquisitions and Debt Capital Market groups, and also co-founded Vodium, a multimedia software company that was acquired by Vcall.com.
Jonathan has published articles on corporate finance, derivatives and risk management in Bloomberg News, Bloomberg Magazine, International Herald Tribune, and the New York Times.
Jonathan holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Georgetown University, where he was a member of the Crew Team.
He is an active volunteer and fund raising chair both for HBS and for his high school alma mater, Phillips Academy Andover.
