Ms. Joan M.
Caine, CFA, is a Managing Director at Parsons Capital Management, Inc. She has over 35 years of investment management experience, managing portfolios for institutional and high-net-worth clients.
Prior to joining Parsons Capital Management in 2020, Ms. Caine was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Washington Trust and, before that, was the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for the State of Rhode Island’s Treasury Department.
As CIO, she managed and directed the Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island’s pension plan and cash management divisions, along with the State’s deferred compensation and college savings plans.
She has served on Brown University Health's investment committee and has served on the boards of the Providence Public Library, RISD Museum Associates and VNA Care New England.
Her professional memberships include the CFA Institute and the Providence Society of Financial Analysts.
She is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a graduate of Boston College and received her MS in Finance from Loyola College.
