Prior to joining Cherokee, Mr. Ivey was a Senior Director at Brownfields Capital, a specialty finance and investment management real estate firm.
In this capacity, he was responsible for structuring a variety of real estate transactions involving the acquisition, remediation and development of polluted land.
Mr. Ivey began his career in New York with Citigroup Corporate Investment Bank where he worked in the Financial Institutions and later in the Private Equity Fund Investment Banking groups.
Following his time in New York, Mr. Ivey was an Investment Analyst for the University of Virginia Investment Management Company where he evaluated and made investments in real estate and private equity funds on behalf of the University endowment.
Mr. Ivey received a BS from the University of Northern Colorado and is a Colorado native.
