Mr. Ian W.
Smith is a Senior Investment Director at Investec Wealth & Investment Ltd. He manages a variety of portfolios for private individuals, charities, trusts and personal pension schemes.
He joined the firm in 2013.
Mr. Smith started his investment career in 1983 with Wood Mackenzie & Co. After spells in the legal and banking sectors, in 2003 he joined Edinburgh Fund Managers, which was subsequently taken over by Tilney Investment Management and then Deutsche Bank in 2006.
Mr. Smith was promoted to the role of Investment Director in 2005, taking a more senior role within the Edinburgh Office.
He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
He is also a fully qualified Chartered Wealth Manager.
