Mr. Gregory S.
Parker, CFA MBA, is a Partner & Director of Global Credit Research at Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC.
He is responsible for managing Lord Abbett’s Global Credit Research team.
In this role, he provides guidance to the research analysts and oversight of the rigorous process involved in identifying securities for all of the taxable fixed-income portfolios managed by the firm.
He also serves as Co-head of the firm’s Leader Development Committee.
Mr. Parker joined Lord Abbett in 2007 and was named Partner in 2014.
Prior to his current role, he served as a Research Analyst for the mid cap growth equity strategy and later transitioned to Research Analyst for the U.S.
Equity Research team.
In 2012, he was promoted to Director of Credit Research for taxable fixed income.
He has worked in the financial services industry since 1991.
His previous experience includes serving as Director of Research, Senior Equity Analyst, and Portfolio Manager at AIG SunAmerica Asset Management; Managing Director and Senior Equity Analyst at Harbert Management Corporation; head of both Global Industrial Research and U.S.
Equity Research, among other various positions, at Schroder Investment Management; and Senior Equity Research Analyst at Middleton & Company, Inc.
He earned a BS in geology from St. Lawrence University and an MBA from Babson College.
He also is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
