He holds a PhD in physics from the University of Cambridge (UK), where he researched materials for future spin based electronic devices.
He holds Masters degrees in physics from the University of Minnesota (USA) as well as from Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria) where he researched on magnetic storage media and semiconductor physics.
