Prior to joining Madison Realty in December 2007, Mr. Scheffler spent two and a half years with Bear, Sterns & Co., Inc. as an associate director in their CMBS-Closing and Structuring Group.
He closed over $3.7 billion of commercial mortgages and managed the CMBS groups balance sheet lending platform consisting of construction, redevelopment and land loans.
Prior to Bear Sterns, Mr. Scheffler spent 11 years as a commercial real estate attorney at Winston & Strawn LLP, Blank Rome Tenzer Greenblatt LLP and Scheffler, King & Bender LLP where he worked on financing, conveyancing, developing, leasing and restructuring various projects.
Mr. Scheffler received a B.A. in Economics from Colgate University in 1991 and a J.D.
from Fordham University in 1994.
