Mr. Siegel joined Philips in 2000 in the Venturing group's Amsterdam office.
Mr. Siegel spent over a year-and-a-half in Amsterdam focusing on investments and business development in Western Europe and Israel.
In 2002, Mr. Siegel moved to the California (Silicon Valley) offices from where he focuses on investment and commercial opportunities with American companies.
Prior to joining Philips, Mr. Siegel spent five years with Jeffries and Company, a Los Angeles-based institutional brokerage.
Mr. Siegel worked in Jefferies' New York, London, Zurich and Hong Kong offices as a sales-trader focusing on euroconvertible notes, corporate debt, equities and currencies.
He was also a founder and COO of Troyian Enterprises, a Los Angeles-based computer consulting firm.
Ed has a BS in Entrepreneurial Studies and International Relations from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
