Mr. Lougheed has had a distinguished political and business career in Canada, and has been a board member of all Quorum's funds since 1987 and Chairman of the board of each fund since 1994.
In 1965 he was elected the Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta, and from 1971 until 1985 he was the Premier of Alberta.
Since 1985 Peter has served in various capacities in the public and private sector: as Co-Chairman of the Canadian Alliance for Free Trade with the United States, and as Co-Chairman of a high-level bi-national group, the Canada-Japan Forum 2000.
Mr. Lougheed has served on the board of several companies in the energy sector, including major Canadian pipeline companies, and is regarded as a significant oil and gas policy leader.
Mr. Lougheed is the Chancellor Emeritus of Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, Co-Chair of the North American Forum, and a member of the Trilateral Commission.
He is Counsel with the law firm Bennett Jones LLP, which is headquartered in Calgary, and is a director of numerous public, private and not-for profit companies.
