Dicken Yung founded the Hong Kong Sports Association for the Mentally Handicapped in 1974 and served as its President until 1991.
He is also the founder of Special Olympics Hong Kong, Hong Kong Recreation Management Association, and Hong Kong Phab Association.
Dr. Yung held various director positions at WGE Holdings Corp., Transnational Financial Network, Inc., Farmhouse, Inc., American Youth Hostels, Inc., World Leisure Organisation, Unilava Corp., and Versatech Industries, Inc. He was also the President of Special Olympics, Inc. from 1996 to 2009.
Dr. Yung worked as a Professor at the University of Oregon.
He graduated from the University of Leeds and earned a doctorate from The University of Nottingham.
Dr. Yung is also the founder of Special Olympics Hong Kong, Hong Kong Recreation Management Association, and Hong Kong Phab Association.
