Prior to Barret Ellman Stoddard Capital Parnters, Mr. Barrett spent 18 years at Salomon Brothers, where he served as Chairman of the Global Investment Banking Group and Member of the Executive Committee from 1992 to 1995.
Thereafter he built a new financial institutions team at UBS, which he moved to Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in 1998 following the takeover of UBS by Swiss Bank Corporation.
Mr. Barrett advised DLJ on its sale to Credit Suisse for $13 billion in 2000, and he led the Global Financial Institutions Group at Credit Suisse from 2000 until 2005.
He holds an MBA and BA from Harvard.
