Critical Math Advisors LLC
Critical Math Advisors LLC Investment ManagersFinance Critical Math Advisors (CMA) employs a proprietary investment strategy referred to as 'Adaptive Allocation.' It is an actively-managed investment approach that seeks to adapt to any given market environment, reduce market exposure when risk is high and invest aggressively when risk is considered low. The firm believes that the best way to reduce risk and enhance returns is by allocating assets based on what the market is doing at any given time. Their asset mix is extremely flexible and is designed to adapt to current market conditions. All dynamic asset allocation is done within the Adaptive Allocation Fund/Portfolio which reduces the need to hold many mutual funds and to try to determine when to buy or sell them. To reduce risk and increase diversification, CMA employs 2 different investment strategies: (1) Financial Statement Analysis and (2) Trend Following. CMA's Financial Statement Analysis models seek to outperform the market by making monthly selections of individual stocks based on domestic and foreign companies' financial statements and price ratios. Separately, in terms of broad market indices, the firm utilizes multiple Trend Following models. If bond funds or equity indices are trending up, they seek to be invested in them. If they are trending down, CMA tends to avoid them. As a result, there will be times when their trend following models are invested in stock index funds but not in bond funds, or in bond funds but not in stock index funds, or in both stock and bond funds or in neither (moving to cash). | Compliance Officer | 01/03/2017 |
