Profil
Mr. Morse and his wife Fran (Ford) Morse founded Ford Equity Research in 1970.
Since that time, Mr. Morse has overseen the development of Ford into a major presence in the investment research field.
He has spoken at many industry conferences, and was a four-time participant in the Wall Street Journal’s dartboard contest.
The founding of Ford coincided with Mr. Morse’s development of a unique extension of the dividend discount model.
A few years later he applied his background in control theory to formulate an earnings trend model (now earnings momentum model), which was based on the second derivative of earnings with respect to time.
In subsequent years, Mr. Morse oversaw the development of several additional equity investment models, all of which have proven effective in producing above-market returns.
Prior to founding Ford, Mr. Morse was Manager of the Systems Engineering Department at General Atomic in San Diego.
This department employed over 100 graduate engineers and contributed to the design of high-temperature gas-cooled nuclear power plants.
Mr. Morse holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Nuclear Engineering, both from MIT.
