Mr. Daniel Schweizer is a Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at Active Alpha AG and a Founder at Symphonisches Orchester Zürich.
Before leading the spin-off of Active Alpha from Horizon21, he was Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Horizon21 Group.
He joined Horizon21 in 2006.

From 2003 to 2006, he was a Deputy CEO of Alternative and Quantitative (A&Q) Investments within UBS Global Asset Management.
During this time, he was based in Chicago and held the position of Deputy CIO of the Risk Arbitrage Fund and managed all UBS Fund of Hedge Fund teams based in Stamford, New York, Hong Kong, and Zurich.
He assumed the CEO of UBS Investment Bank in Switzerland from 2001 to 2003, where he was responsible for more than 1500 employees.
In 2002, he became a General Manager and joined the Group Managing Board of UBS.
His extensive trading experience at UBS includes positions as Head of Equities and Derivatives, Head of Equity Trading, Sales and Research, and Member of the Global Equity Business Committee.
He was instrumental in integrating the equities activities of S.G.
Warburg into UBS (formerly SBC) in 1995 and the merger of the equities businesses of UBS and SBC in 1997 and 1998.
During his career at UBS, he also represented the board of Directors of the SWX Swiss Exchange and the Swiss Clearing House SIS Sega Intersettle.
He began his career in 1985 with UBS (formerly SBC) in Zurich.
He studied electrotechnology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich.
