Mr. Symonds is President of the T.
Howard Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to promoting women and people of color in the satellite and telecommunications industries.
He is also President & CEO of Symonds Synergy Group, a marketing consulting firm.
He served as the Executive Vice President of Affiliate Sales & Marketing for Black Entertainment Television from 1988 to 2001, and he also was Executive Vice President of BET on Jazz from 1996 to 2001, President of BET Action Pay Per View from 1992 to 2001, and President of BET International from 1992 to 2001.
Prior to joining BET, he spent five years at ESPN, Inc.
Mr. Symonds spent 10 years on the board of directors of the National Association of Minorities in Communications, and in 1998 he received the National Cable Television Association Vanguard Award for marketing excellence.
In 1997, he was presented the Black United Fund's Walter Bremond Achieving Against the Odds Award.
