Colby has over 25 years of executive leadership and entrepreneurial experience in the technology, restaurant and real estate industries.
Colby began his career with boutique real estate private equity group McCarthy Cook & Company focused on acquiring class A real estate assets in the western United States in partnership with The Blackstone Group.
In 1999 Colby held various executive positions with technology incubator eCompanies, which focused on investing in eCommerce start-ups.
In 2001 Colby was a founding team member of Boingo Wireless and helped build the company through its IPO (NASDAQ: WIFI) in 2011, leading business development efforts as SVP of Strategy & Business Development.
From 2013 to 2015 Colby was founder/CEO of Curby Software, which was acquired by Curbstand in 2015.
In 2016 Colby joined the founding team of CloudKitchens, which buys and builds co-located industrial kitchens as well as develops delivery management software for food production companies and restaurants around the world.
Colby has led various teams throughout the lifecycle of the company including finance, accounting, business development and sales.
In parallel, in 2004 Colby co-founded the Rustic Canyon Family of Restaurants, which operates 9 restaurants in Los Angeles and employs more than 450 team members.
Colby graduated with a BA in economics from Stanford University.
