Mr. Christophe Gancel is Deputy CEO-Corporate, Investment & Private Banking at Crédit Agricole SA and Head of Private Banking at CA Indosuez (Switzerland) SA. He is on the Board of Directors at CFM Indosuez Wealth SA.
After joining the banking commitments division of Banque Indosuez in 1977, he moved to the major corporates division where he was head of corporate clients from 1980 to 1986.
Between 1986 and 1992, he served as director of the Nord Pas-de-Calais region based in Lille, and then director of the Rhônes-Alpes division in Lyon.
In 1992, he became head of private banking in France at Banque Indosuez.
In 1999, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Banque de Gestion Privée Indosuez, and remained in this position until 2007, when he became Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Suisse.
Mr. Gancel is a graduate of Sciences Po and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris.
He holds a Masters’ degree in management from Paris University IX Dauphine
